Happy “Eleven-Months-Plus-One-Day!”
By Shayna
To my friends, and donors to my health fund, thank you for all your support and prayers. (If you’re a newcomer to my site, welcome! See our previous entry, “Happy Ten-Months-Plus-One-Day!” here.)
Here’s the cover of this month’s card:
And the interior:
Daddy helped me to customize and print out versions of this card for each of my (awesome!) doctors, which we hand-delivered yesterday:

Customized versions of this card were delivered to my incredible medical team: Dr. Janice Raab, Dr. Kevin Stiffler, and Dr. Anna Paling.
Here’s a bigger version of the picture of me with my (much-younger!) boyfriend, Dakota, who I hadn’t seen for a very long time!
And here’s a video Daddy took of me doing my toy-retrieval training on September 23, after I’d been feeling really miserable for the previous few days. He took it a few minutes before he took me to be examined by my (awesome!) cardiologist, Dr. Anna Paling, to show her my activity level:
Fortunately, Dr. Paling said my heart and lungs sound awesome! We only learned later, after a week of feeling really awful, that I was likely the victim of salmonella poisoning. If so, that would make the second time this year that I was afflicted by this horrible illness (the first was caused by this, during the first three months of this year).
The good news is that thanks to the attentive service of my wonderful holistic veterinarian, Dr. Janice Raab, who did a bunch of tests and prescribed an array of antibiotics and probiotics, I am rapidly recovering. Daddy was really scared, so it’s really good to see the relief in his face, as each hour brings me closer to being my happy, active, healthy self.
Thank you again for all your prayers, and your generous donations to my health fund.
Love,
Shayna
