Ben Stein on the miracle of dogs

Ben Stein – economist, author, actor, columnist – has become a mini-institution.  But nowhere is he more articulate or prescient than in the realm of humans’ relationship to dogs (or vice versa).  See Ben’s website here.

Through the years, Ben has described how and why his dogs have had such a big influence on his life.  I’m certain that he had a growing influence on me, which culminated in my determination, after 9/11, to search for the “perfect” first dog for me.

In this segment from a 2009 episode of CBS’s “Sunday Morning,” Ben beautifully sums up why dogs can be of value to humans, especially during severe economic and life pressures:

Amen, Ben!
