July 22, 2011: Writing, designing covers
I’m working really hard to finish up the draft of the entire book right now.
In some areas, the copy is taking form as fast as I can write, with very little resistance. In other areas, such as the story of who I was prior to adopting Shayna, and what caused me to look so long, so hard and so carefully for the “perfect” first dog for me, is quite difficult.
Playing with cover designs
Writing a book, as I’ve discovered, is a long and tedious process. To help keep myself motivated, and remind myself that there is, in fact, an end in sight, I invested some time to play around with what the cover might look like. Here are a few of the draft cover designs I’ve come up with:
